Carnival of Evolution #38 on Sandwalk

For those people who are interested in evolution, you might be aware of the ongoing Carnival of Evolution. In that case, you probably know that the latest CoE has been posted on the blog Sandwalk by Larry Moran.

For those of you who don’t know what a blog carnival is, here comes. There are many blogs out there (this one included) and many different blogs will share a common theme or subject. It is often difficult to keep track of all these different blogs. For this reason, some blog communities have decided to do a blog carnival, where they will accumulate some of the most interesting blog entries about a specific subject, such as evolution, into a single posting. Anyone can share their most liked blog-entry on these carnivals. This also not only helps maintain and organize the various blogs, it can also be a way to promote your own blog.

The latest Carnival of Evolution (#38) covers a very broad view of evolution with wide ranging topics such as iPad apps, classification, fossils, evolution in action, behavioral evolution, molecular genetics, evolutionary theory, evo-devo, history of evolutionary biology, and evolutionary humor. Worth a read, although there is a lot to read in this Carnival (one of the largest up to now).
